Carole Hogan Associates has built up a considerable reputation for professionalism and integrity. We have extensive experience and specialise in analysing training needs and designing tailored learning and development solutions to meet the specific needs of each individual organisation and fit the organisation's characteristics. We have particular expertise in the area of leadership and talent development. We place a strong emphasis on considering participants' learning styles and needs and use a range of accelerated learning techniques and highly participative and interactive training methods, thereby assisting participants to transfer the information and learning to their work settings. Our commitment to educating key organisational members on the knowledge and skills required of an effective Human Resource Development Specialist helps the organisation to become a self-enabled learning entity. We have produced a considerable body of research publications and are regular conference speakers. " Sanofi/Genzyme We designed a customized Leader Capability Programme for the Leadership cadre in Genzyme focusing on the company's HR policies and processes. The program is focused on creating a consistent approach to people practices across the organisation by developing a suite of interventions to clarify effective people practices and behaviours for team leaders and managers in Genzyme. This Human Resource development intervention includes modules on Performance Management, Talent Management, Performance and Recognition, Work Life Balance, Recruitment and Selection and Employee Engagement. We have trained over 200 leaders in the UK and Ireland in Leader Capability. We designed and developed a comprehensive in-depth facilitator guide to match the program for use by facilitators to run the program which consisted of planned timetables, structured exercises, methodology, objectives and background notes for each section."

"Bank of New York Mellon We designed a customized 'New to Management' programme for new managers in BNY Mellon. This intervention consisted of designed modules on Role of the Manager, Creating Trust and Rapport, Managing Difficult Conversations, Establishing Priorities, Coaching, Communication and Feedback. We also designed and developed a comprehensive in-depth facilitator guide to match the virtual program for use by facilitators to run the program which consisted of planned timetables, structured exercises, methodology, objectives and background notes for each section. "

" FEXCO Group Carole Hogan Associates designed and developed an in-depth competency development guide for all staff in the organisation. The Competency Development Planning Guide was designed to provide Fexco employees with guidance on how to develop behaviours and skills within the Fexco competency framework, through a variety of methods based on the 70/20/10 Model which includes on the job learning (70%), learning through others (coaching and mentoring, 20%) and formal training (10%). The guide helped support individuals by giving them ideas on how to develop in the job, broaden their competency abilities in work through interaction with others and using training and development options. "

" IBM Carole Hogan Associates worked with IBM to design and develop a Project Management Programme for Team Leaders in the organisation. The programme was built around project leadership and used a blend of realistic project exercises, lectures and discussion to help participants develop the necessary skills to effectively manage any size of project from beginning to end. It was aimed at project team leaders who were responsible for managing and leading project teams and looking to strengthen their communication and people management skills in a project context. "

" Arvato (Sonopress) Carole designed and delivered Performance Management training and coaching to assist managers and supervisors in Avarto to effectively manage underperformance in the organisation. She also designed and ran a programme to manage under performance and this was rolled out to all managers and supervisors across the site.

" Bausch & Lomb Carole Hogan Associates delivered a management development centre consisting of a series of structured exercises and developmental activities. We facilitated the preparation and planning of individual training and development plans. Carole delivered a certified Graduate Diploma in Management through the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). Carole also designed and implemented a mentoring programme for managers as part of a formal management development programme. We carried out a 360-degree feedback process for managers in B&L (Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire). "

"Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) Carole Hogan Associates delivers a Talent Management Development programme for high potential managers in DAA. This consists of running development centres which provide personal and confidential feedback to each manager on the core competencies of the manager and provided a basis from which to plan specific development initiatives to identify how the current management team match the competencies necessary to ensure business success. Participants undertake a series of exercises and developmental activities designed to highlight developmental potential and opportunities. They are given detailed feedback on their scores and outcomes of the observed exercises which aids in formulating their personal development plan. This is followed up by a Management Development Programme including modules on People Management, Leadership Skills, Team Building, and Strategic Management."

" HIQA Health Information and Quality Authority Carole Hogan worked with the HR Director in HIQA to design a tailor made Performance Management and Development Process to fit the culture of the organisation. Carole Hogan Associates trained all levels of the organisation in the Performance Management and Development Process with particular emphasis on building the process into the culture of the organisation. "

    Dr. Carole Hogan

    Managing Director of Carole Hogan Associates
    Phd, MEd, BA, HDEd, Grad Dip Training and Development, ASTD, ICM

    Carole Hogan has worked on leadership and talent development strategies across a broad range of industry sectors both in Ireland and internationally. She has managed her own talent development practice for over 25 years and works with a team of experienced and trusted colleagues to provide leadership development, mentoring and coaching solutions.

    She designs and delivers intensive action orientated leadership development programmes in collaboration with her clients. She is a recognised expert in competency modelling and applications such as 360 assessment, succession management and talent management and development. She has designed and implemented robust performance management processes for numerous organisations.

    Carole lectures in Talent Management and Development in University College Cork. She has presented at numerous practitioner and academic conferences. She has written three books on learning and leadership development.

    Sinead Gaynor

    Associate Senior Consultant of Carole Hogan Associates

    Sinead Gaynor, coach, facilitator and trainer has over twenty years experience in designing and delivering learning and development workshops and programmes. Sinead's interest in Organisation and Human Development began at the beginning of her career whilst working with Motorola University. During that time Sinead was trained as an Organisation Development consultant and placed in a role where she designed, delivered and evaluated training and development interventions across the EMEA region. Sinead's career has spanned a number of leadership roles including most recently the Head of Organisation Capability at DAA and the Head of Human Resources Dublin Airport. In 2014 she led the Organisation Capability team at DAA to win the prestigious National Training Award. Sinead's facilitation style is fun, inclusive, challenging and promotes confidence building. By drawing upon a range of learning methods her interventions her approach appeals to all learning styles and the climate is typically enjoyable, stimulating and engaging. Sinead works with organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.



    Jeanne Colvin

    Jeanne Colvin is a HR Development & Education Consultant and has over 20 years experience as a Group Learning & Development Manager. Jeanne has worked for Aer Lingus, Gateway 2000, Sonopress Ireland, Iona National Airways and Brendan Tours in New York. She has also been a Sales & Marketing Manager for 8 yrs. Jeanne is especially experienced in L&D interventions for call centre employees, team leaders, supervisors and managers. She has designed Customer Care programmes that have yielded great benefits to the organizations she has worked with. Jeanne sits on interview panels as an external interviewer for organisations such as Sonopress Irl Ltd (Bertelsmann), Pointer Control Systems etc. She is particularly strong as a change catalyst and in getting people to buy into new ways of doing things. She has a particular passion for tutoring/training participants who are responsible for developing others. Jeanne completed her Certificate and Graduate Diplomas in T&D with the Institute of Commercial Management. She also completed her Masters in Education with the University of Sheffield, by distance learning with first class honours. She is a facilitator and evaluator on Management and Talent Development Centre Programmes for the daa, AIB Capital Markets, Dell Computers, Bristol Myers Squibb etc. She provides 1-1 individual coaching for managers of all levels. Jeanne has worked with many diverse organisations.



    Elizabeth Switzer

    Project Manager and Training Co-Ordinator

    Elizabeth Switzer has over nineteen years' experience as a training and development specialist with Carole Hogan Associates. Elizabeth serves as the primary business contact for all clients and is responsible for customer satisfaction within the organisation to ensure quality of services provided. She is responsible for the project management of training and development programmes for a number of clients. She is a graduate of the Institute of Technology Tralee where she completed a degree in business studies. She also has completed the Graduate Diploma in Training and Development with the Institute of Commercial Management. Her areas of expertise are in project management, programme design and evaluation analysis.



    Eilis Moylan

    Eilis Moylan is a Training & Development consultant, specialising in Management and Personal Development training. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick. Eilis has over twenty years' experience in training and development, having designed, developed and delivered training programmes across a wide variety of industry sectors, at all levels. Her areas of expertise include communication skills, leadership, facilitation, coaching and teamwork. She has extensive experience of working with multiple nationalities, having delivered training both in Ireland and abroad. She has worked both as an internal and an external consultant and has an in-depth knowledge of the processes and best practice around training and development. In addition, she is experienced in evaluating the effectiveness of training having carried out value assessments on management development programmes and having published a study on the evaluation of training practice in Ireland. She also has comprehensive knowledge of training planning practice, having secured IDA Training Grant applications for two client organisations which involved developing 3-5 year training plans at organisational and individual level, drawing heavily from business strategy and resultant skills requirement and resourcing needs.



    Hugh O'Donoghue

    Videographer and Media Specialist
    BA, MA

    Hugh is a videographer and film editor with over three years experience. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in New Media and English from the University of Limerick and a Masters of Arts in Film Production and Direction from the National University of Galway Ireland. He is the City Producer for the 48 Hour Film Project in Dublin which is a global timed film competition. He previously worked in Micromail as a Software and Marketing Specialist. He has produced videos for clients as diverse as daa and Bausch and Lomb.
